Congratulations on the gift of new life in your family. The faith community shares in your joy and responsibility of leading your child to God, our loving Creator. Your child will first hear God’s voice and see God’s face in your family. In the family and parish community your child will be nurtured in the faith.

One of the ways in which the parish community assists you is through the preparation sessions offered to parents and godparents prior to the Baptism of your child.

The preparation sessions help you:

• to consider ways you will communicate that faith to your child in your home.

Who is Invited to Infant Baptism Preparation Classes?

The session are designed to help first time parents make an informed decision about the commitment entailed in choosing Baptism for their son or daughter. All parents are welcomed to attend the sessions to renew their resolve to raise their children in the faith of the Church.

Godparents are invited to attend with the parents whenever possible.

Parents of children who are 7 years of age or older and have not been baptized need to enroll in a different preparation process. Please contact the program director for information.

The infant Baptism preparation sessions are scheduled four times a year: summer, autumn, winter and spring. Please plan to attend one of the series prior to the birth of your baby.
If you participate in the preparation after your child has arrived, it is best to find a childcare provider while you attend the class.

Third Series

January 11, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm
