About the Statue

The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima (IPVS) was sculpted in 1947 according to visionary Lucia’s instructions, was blessed by the Bishop of Fatima and sent out to bring the graces of Fatima and Our Lady’s message to the world. The statue depicts Our Lady’s appearance when she revealed herself as the Immaculate Heart to the three children of Fatima in 1917. In 1952, Pope Pius XII blessed the statue and the work of the Fatima pilgrim tours. The statue has visited more than 100 countries, bringing the message of salvation and hope to millions of people. The mission of this world-famous statue is under the auspice of the World Apostolate of Fatima USA—Our Lady’s Blue Army—which continues her journey throughout the world.
