Parish Conversations on Letter to a Suffering Church


All parishioners are welcome to join in a dialogue regarding Bishop Robert Barron's book, Letter to a Suffering Church, and the sexual abuse crisis in the Church. You are invited to attend any of the following conversations:


  • Sunday, November 3, 10:15 to 11:15 AM in the OLL School Library
  • Sunday, November 17, 10:15 to 11:15 AM in the OLL School Library
  • Wednesday, November 20, 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the OLL School Library
  • Sunday, December 8, 6:30 to 8:00 PM AM in the Parish Hall, Carpeted Area
  • Sunday, December 15, 10:15 to 11:15 AM in the OLL School Library

New Minister Training | Sunday, October 27

Ministry training for new Ushers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will be offered Sunday, October 27 from 10:10 to 11:00 AM in the Church (during the Focus on Faith hour).


A second opportunity will be Sunday, November 3 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM the in the Church.

Pumpkin Carving | Saturday, October 26

The Third Annual Family Pumpkin Carving is Saturday, October 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM


The Family Pumpkin Carving is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.


Carve (your own) pumpkin without having to clean up! All are invited to attend, families, teens, and adults! The Knights of Columbus will be providing some still to decided food. 


The event is completely free. All you need to do is show up with your own pumpkin and carving tools!

CASE - Creating A Safe Environment

This year's training will be a combination of a video and live training presentation. Click the "Register for the Case Training" button below to find dates and times this one and a half hour CASE Workshop training will be available at Our Lady of the Lake.

In this training, participants will learn:

  • Sexual abuse is preventable
  • How to recognize red-flag behaviors between adults and youth
  • How to keep yourself safe by staying within the "acceptable Zone"
  • How to report suspected sexual abuse
