Sunday Morning Youth Group

For Grades 6-12

Middle School & High School Youth

Our weekly Youth Group meets on Sundays from 10:15am-11:05am, in between Masses. We get together for friendship, donuts, games and to learn about God. We read Bible stories, reflect on Mass readings, chat about Catholicism, and think about what it means to be a young Catholic in the modern age. This year we will be working through a video series which focuses on understanding the stories and the timeline of the whole Bible, as well as a series on the Theology of the Body.

Occasionally, our group will join in events with the younger kids too, like the Pumpkin Carving, Advent Wreath Making or Christmas Pageant. Throughout the year there will also be some fun social activities in the evenings, like bowling, movie nights, scavenger hunts, etc.

Ropes Camp 2025 - Teen Testimony

My time at rope camp was amazing! I loved all the ropes courses and the team challenges. I also loved the faith part. I came to Higher Calling Ropes Camp to just have fun with friends; but after the amazing “Doug talks”, Mass outside every morning next to the river, the Archbishop coming, confession, and the rosary, I felt closer to God more than ever. If you are in middle school or high school, come to Higher Calling Ropes Camp. I promise you will not regret it!   —Hannah

Higher Calling Ropes Camp

Every August

Higher Calling Ropes Camp is a weeklong Catholic camp which includes 5 days of friendship, faith, ropes course challenges, and more! The camp is open to youth entering 6th grade through graduating high school seniors. This camp is the collaboration of several parish youth ministries in the archdiocese.

Youth from Our Lady of the Lake who participated in the 2025 camp had very positive feedback, so we will continue to encourage participation in this camp this upcoming year.
